I also do landscapes and paintings centred on the sky. At times, animals or people find themselves in these images. Living in a province that is referred to as “Land of the Living Skies,” and with ready if somewhat distant access to the boreal forest, you simply cannot escape the heart stopping beauty of our skies and northern views (We always spend part of our summers at Candle Lake). The selection below varies in style from flat and representation to textured and semi-abstract.
